The following are a few accommodation options close to the University of Cape Town. We strongly recommend that delegates make early flight and hotel reservations.

The following are a few accommodation options close to the University of Cape Town. We strongly recommend that delegates make early flight and hotel reservations.
- All Africa House is UCT's on-campus B&B and provides accommodation for visiting academics, researchers and visitors on UCT-related business.
- Protea Hotel, Mowbray is a historical Cape Dutch Manor house close to UCT and is less than 7 minutes drive to UCT.
- Protea Hotel Cape Town Waterfront Breakwater Lodge: Housed in a historic 19th-century building, this hotel boasts an unbeatable location in the heart of the city, within view of the majestic V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain. The hotel is just 10 minutes drive to UCT.
- Little Scotia: Located in the leafy suburb of Rondebosch, the hotel offers a landscaped garden with a sun terrace and outdoor pool. It is 4 minutes drive to UCT.
- Delegates are encouraged to explore alternate options at Booking.com, Airbnb and Safarinow. These booking platforms offer accommodation in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
- It is important to check the reviews and the distance of the establishment from the University of Cape Town.
Travel Arrangements
- The organisers of the conference are not responsible for travel and visa arrangements. Please make your own hotel and travel arrangements.
- Delegates are requested to make their own arrangements for medical, travel and personal insurance.
- Cape Town is a big city with many transport options for getting to UCT. These include the UCT Jammie shuttle, ride hailing services and car rental services. Once on campus, it’s easiest to move around on foot.
- You can find the Jammie Shuttle routes and timetables here. You can use this as a guide in selecting your accommodation.
- Ride hailing services such as Uber and Bolt are available in Cape Town and can be used for airport transfers and getting to/fro the conference venue.
- Most of the leading car rental brands (Budget, Avis, Bluu, Europcar) operate in Cape Town.
